- Being on 2 Segway tours in New Zealand in January of 2010. Being totally converted to the 'Way of Segway'. Love being on them, love what they represent, love the feeling it engenders not only in me but the people I pass on the way
- The Auckland (where I live in New Zealand) Train service has just last month (January 2010) given the ok to their use on trains. This is a huge boost to me. The reason is that I have a long commute from where I live in Wattle Downs in the South of Auckland to the City (where I work). Being able to take the Segway on the train really works for me. It is a 2.75km trip to the Te Mahia train stop from where I live in Wattle Downs. This is too far to walk in terms of the time it would take (roughly 35 minutes) and then there is the walk at the City end from the Britomart train station to where I work (in the lower Viaduct Harbour).
